Well here we are at another year end!At the moment MYOB New Zealand is running a cool little campaign called “Love your Work” and sometimes this is exceptionally hard given that what a year it has been both personally and professionally. Thankfully for me, I have not lost any Friends or Family in the disasters the South Island has had this year but I do know many who have been affected by it all and I feel for them deeply.

We have had some good news this year with the Tax cuts in October and the new ones due on the 1st April. Also there is a change in the way all leave is going to be calculated which will be much easier than it has in the past; as noted from a newsletter recently sent out by MYOB New Zealand.

By now you will no doubt have either had a letter or phone call from MYOB New Zealand telling you that your Annual BusinesSUPPORT has expired and hopefully you haven’t just renewed direct with them yet as I am offering a 5% discount to anyone that renews through me before the end of March 2011.

As you know I generally do not push any support unless you have payroll as one of your products but this year there has been the release for the GST changes (if you haven’t upgraded already you should have so that you can make 100% sure your GST is correct from the changeover at 30th September 2010) and there is going to be the release of a complete new platform for the way MYOB operates this was originally promised by MYOB New Zealand to be out by now but it looks as though it will be at least May before it is released to everybody, however it is already in some businesses throughout NZ getting tested and will change the way we work with MYOB software!

I have recently updated my website, so you should find that the new look is easier for you to navigate around. As part of this I now also have a business PayPal so can accept your payments via Credit Card. If it is easier for you I can also send my accounts via email please ask me next time I’m in or drop me a quick email saying you prefer this option.

With Facebook taking over the world I now have a business page that I will start putting all sorts of “tid-bits & shortcuts” onto it so please check it out and like it.

Last but not least … next weekend Sunday 20th March is the Girls Day Out expo at the Rutherford Hotel 10am-4pm, cost is $6 each with $1 from each door entry going to the Nelson SPCA, so please come along and check it out!
